Description
The cables on the basis of twisted couples with copper conductors applied in SKS are intended for transfer of electric signals.
The cable contains several twisted couples of wires twisted with various steps and can have several additional the protective, shielding and technological elements which form the core.
Each wire is supplied with isolation from the continuous or made foam dielectric.
Use of the last reduces the specific mass of a cable a little and considerably improves its frequency properties, however leads to rise in price of a finished product.
The protective cover in the form of a hose, in bigger or smaller volume protecting twisted couples from external influences and keeping structure of the core during laying and operation is imposed on the core.
Existence of the general external protective cover of the core is the basis for reference of the considered design to a class of cables.
Depending on the main scope and according to a design, cable products for SKS on the basis of twisted couples are subdivided into four main types:
horizontal cable;
main cable;
cable for cords;
wire for crossing points.
